Grand cru specialty Indian coffee : fair trade and organic coffee

Labeled fair trade and organic coffees, India Grand Reserve coffees are recognized worldwide. Grown at altitude, these specialty grand cru coffees stand out for their sweetness and the complexity of their floral, fruity and spicy aromas. Araku pure Arabica coffees are produced on a plateau nestled at an altitude of 1000 meters in the Andra Pradesh region, located in the mountain ranges of the Eastern Ghats. This region is conducive to the production of pure Arabica coffee, due to the temperatures, humidity, diversity of soils and biodiversity that reigns there. Araku represents the first and largest biodynamically produced grand cru specialty coffee plantation in India and the world.

FAQs

Coffee grounds offer many recycling possibilities to give them a second life. Here are some ideas for making the most of your Grand Reserve organic coffee grounds :

Fertilizer for your plants : Thanks to its richness in nutrients such as nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus, coffee grounds make an excellent natural fertilizer. Mix it with potting soil or incorporate it directly into the soil to nourish your plants and encourage their growth.

Skin Exfoliant : Use coffee grounds as a natural body exfoliant. Pair it with coconut oil or shower gel to create your own homemade scrub. Gently massage your skin in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly to achieve smooth, glowing skin.

Natural repellent : Take advantage of the repellent properties of coffee grounds to keep certain pests away. Its powerful odor can deter insects such as ants, slugs or snails. Simply sprinkle coffee grounds where you want to keep them away.

The SCA rating for a specialty coffee refers to the evaluation carried out according to the protocols of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). The SCA is a global organization that sets standards and protocols for specialty coffee quality. Evaluation according to the SCA criteria is done through a tasting process called "cupping". Different aspects of coffee, such as aroma, taste, acidity, body, balance and aftertaste, are rated on a specific scale. The SCA rating is expressed on a scale of 0 to 100. The higher the score, the better the quality of the ground coffee tasted. Coffees that score 80/100 or higher are considered specialty coffees. This is the case for all Araku pure Arabica coffees.
