Why are traditional capsules polluting?
Traditional capsules are very often made from aluminum or plastic. While these materials can often be easily recycled, once put into capsules it turns out to be more complicated than expected. Aluminum is, for example, one of the most recyclable materials in the world, so we might expect to be able to throw them into the sorting bin, like a can. However, it is not so easy, the small size of the capsules means that not all sorting centers are equipped to process them. You must therefore first check that your city is eligible for recycling of small aluminum packaging. If this is not the case, you should store the capsules at home in order to then take them to a specialized collection center to be able to recycle them.
But the biggest problem with recycling capsules is that many simply forget to do it! A capsule quickly goes into the trash without paying attention. You may also be particularly tempted to throw them away if you cannot sort them easily in your town or if the collection center is too far away.
